Frequently Asked Questions
Let us try to answer a few things for you.......
Q. How long does it take a new profile to be reviewed?
A. It depends on how much information you provide when you sign up originally. As long as your profile has been filled out completely and you have appropriate photos uploaded it ranges from a day to a week depending on how full the waiting is. Once your profile has been reviewed, the server will send you a notification (if you are an AOL user or have Spam filters in place, please make sure knockoutmodels.net is in your approved sender white list). Even if your profile is denied for some reason, you will have unlimited opportunities to make adjustments to it for re-review.
Q. What does my profile need to be approved?
A. Your "About Me" (Bio & Credits) section has to be completely filled out with things such as what you hope to get out of this site, what you're looking to do in the industry, any upcoming projects, long term goals, types of work you are or aren't willing to do (TFP, paid assignments only, adult/erotica/nudity, travel out of state, etc). Without such basic information, you're likely to be contacted by many people you may not want to work with. Help keep unwanted contact to a minimum by answering these common questions within your profile section.
Keep in mind that this is a modeling site your information should pertain to modeling or the related field you signed up for. You don?t need to list family, hobbies, pets and other similar fields. Knockoutmodels.com is only looking for relevant details and too much unrelated personal information makes your profile sound like a personal ad and increases its chances of being rejected.
You must also have at least four (4) different, separate photos uploaded but we recommend to put the maximum amount of 12 different photos and we also recommend to put vertical pictures because it fits better on our model profile page.
Q. Why was my profile rejected?
A. Currently, we are only accepting model members and we will be adding a photographer section in the near future so only female models accepted. Both your photos and profile section must reflect a sincere desire to pursue work in the modeling field. If your photos or information remain incomplete for more than a few days, your profile will be rejected.
Pornographic ("adult" or "X-rated") images are not allowed on this site. We have decided not to allow this site to be used to network in that industry.
Profiles that violate copyrights are unacceptable. If you are found uploading photos that you do not hold the copyright to (or do not have explicit written permission from the copyright holder for), your profile will be immediately terminated.
Q. Why can't I sign up with the right birth date?
A. Knockoutmodels.net requires members to be at least 18 years of age. If you can't sign up with your birth date, it's because we're not accepting members your age.
If you see an incomplete profile somewhere, please contact info@knockoutmodels.com
Q. I'm already a member, but now my profile is denied. Why?
A. You were either violating one of the above criteria (incomplete profile, inadequate photos, or younger than 18) or you were verbally abusive/threatening to other members. You can also be banned from the site for spamming through the message system, tags, announcements, comments or forums.
Q. Who do I contact if I need help?
A. Please send all comments, complaints, requests (etc) to our team of moderators using the "Contact Us" section.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. Login to your Knockoutmodels.com members account and click on "Change password".
Q. I want off this site! How do I make that happen?
A. Go to the Contact us section and submit a removal request. Once your request has been received, your profile and photos will be removed within 7 days.
Q. Is mine or my agents email address displayed to the public on my profile page?
A. No email addresses are displayed on your public profile.
Q. Can I post links, HTML, (etc) on my page?
A. You may not use HTML or make text links on your profile page.
Q. How many photos do you recommend to display?
A. To give prospective clients a full range of your look. We suggest using our maximum of 12 photos for your profile.
Q. What is a "feature image"?
A. Your feature image is a thumbnail version of the photo you choose to represent your profile. It will be shown first in the "Model Gallery"attached to your profile page, We only except vertical pictures for the main profile picture due to our gallery layout.
Q. What does TFP (or TFCD) mean?
A. TFP stands for time in exchange for prints ("Time For Prints") and TFCD is time in exchange for a CD of images. It is an arrangement in which everyone contributes their time and skills and everyone gets images, but no cash payment is made. Details of TFP type shoots (usage rights, number of images produced and given to the model, etc) vary according to the individual deals people make amongst themselves. The term TFP is rarely used in the real world modeling industry, but there is a preferred term ("test") which functions in the same capacity. It's all a bunch of silly semantics.
